Pharmelp is an association with non-lucrative purpose created to promote training and implement the quality control of drug products in resource-limited countries. Among other things, this approach addresses the problem of falsified medicines as defined by the WHO.
Since 2006, Pharmelp has been actively developing an analytical measurement device based on capillary electrophoresis (CE) technology, incorporating light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for the detection system.
Pharmelp sets up collaborative projects with countries where falsified drug products are a problem. Its role is to train laboratory staff on site and provide ECD measuring equipment.
